Journal 9

The one profile that really stood out to me was Kerry Davis and Ken Hopper. These men looked at their job as more than a job and were able to save lives because of it. It was inspirational to see these men love their jobs as much as they did with the stress that they had to go through as well. Kerry says, “yeah, and there’s a feeling of elation when you finally do connect with them in some way”. When they were finally able to connect with them it made their job fulfilling.

The first presentation that I really enjoyed listening to was David and Tims. It was obvious to me that they put a lot of time into their project. It was also nice to get two peoples different research on a topic. The slides were all put together nicely and it was easy to follow along with. I also really enjoyed Michaels presentation. He did a good job at showing the different types of weapons and what they are used for. It was also nice to get the background of the guns as well. The slides were easy to follow along with and it was an interesting project to learn about.

This is a picture of the Manhattan Bridge. It would be a beautiful view to work from every day.

  1. Jud,
I also liked this profile. I thought it was very powerful and wholesome to see two men who didn't sign up for what they were getting into to step up to the plate. Talking to someone and knowing one word could possibly make them give up is a weight on your shoulder, and its astonishing to see Tony Robinson master this. My question for you is did you enjoy the profile or the video we watched in class more and why?
