Snapshot 3 - David Miller
My Girl
My Girl is Kind.
As we sit on the boat with one blanket
The air rolling in like a sword
Piercing me to the core
But My Girl gives it up to me like a shield.
My Girl is Loving.
As we sit there in the boat
The sun finally setting into night
I tell her thanks as I smile.
She smiles as her soft lips open and says “I love you”.
My Girl.
As we get out of the boat she’s all I think about
Her long hair like silk
Her eyes like the cool of fall
Her hands warm as her heart.
This is My Girl.
Dear David, I admire that you are not surreptitious about your girl. I am happy for you. I like how you formatted your poem very professionally. I could visualize your poem like it is an episode of Twilight. A question I like asking people who are in a healthy relationship for a while is, could you see yourself marrying this person?
ReplyDeleteI totally see it, I'm not just saying it because she's my girlfriend now, but I feel like you just know. When two people want whats best for one another things just seem to snap into place. Also that's for the nice comment.
DeleteDavid, reading this made me feel like you really care/love your girlfriend. How long have you guys been dating? Reading this also made me feel like you just admire everything about her. That is truly awesome it seems like you hardly see that anymore.
ReplyDeleteI like your descriptions you used. I could almost picture your girlfriend and great metaphors!
