Rose

You’re as simple as a rose 

But also as complex and beautiful 

Many different parts

Some soft and delicate

Others rough and sharp

But that’s what makes a rose so beautiful

The good and the bad 

You are as loved as a rose is

And make me feel the same way

You don’t use your thorns

But sometimes I get pricked by them

Those sharp thorns are just temporary

They come and go

But the rose, the soft, delicate pedals

Those are what defines you.
