Research Response Exercise
The profile that I am going to choose from today is
Dawn Maestas. She was a Ink Removal Specialists. She used the pain from her
past to help others move on from their past as well. I think that she was drawn
to this job because it allowed her to get personal with her clients. Several of
which had been in abusive relationships and felt stuck with those tattoos still
on their body. It was definitely not all about the money to her because she
removed several tattoos free of charge just because she had a connection with
her clients. Dawn says, “I used to tell God, if You let me survive this, I won’t
leave anybody else behind. I promise”(Maestas 165). It was more than just a job
to her, this was her calling and it was a way for her to minister to other people.
After some research I was able to find
out that you can’t remove a tattoo with just one session, you will meet with
the specialists from 4 to 10 times depending on what type of ink they used and
how complex it is. They described the pain like you were constantly being snapped at with a rubber band. Depending on who your specialists is they
will charge from 100$ to 1,000$.

Hello, Judson! I really enjoyed this story of how she’ll remove the tattoos from some of her clients for free. I was also wondering if it only takes one session to take off the tattoo. I’m glad you looked it up so I could know my answer. Now, I’m wondering if the price to get it removed is more or less expensive than getting a tattoo.
