My Name
My full name is Cortney Danelle Shearer. I hate my name I don’t know why I do I just do. I don’t have a cool story as to why my name is my name. Although the story to why its spelled like it is funny. My Dad was in charge of writing my name on my birth certificate. Cortney is supposed to be spelled Courtney but my Dad spelled it wrong. Not only did he spell my first name wrong he also spelled my middle name wrong. Danelle is supposed to be spelled Danielle. He denies it if you ask him and says they wanted it spelled differently. Lucky for me he got his own last name right. He does have dyslexia but that’s is why my name is spelled wrong.
With my name being spelled wrong there’s a few problems that come with it. One problem being people always spell it wrong. It kind of bugs me when people do that but I’m kind of use to it now. Another problem I face is probably the most difficult for me to deal with. I have never and will never be able to find my name on a keychain. I know what you’re thinking why didn’t your parents fix it? My parents are lazy and my mom kinda liked that it was different. I’ve met very few people who spell it the same way. The only difference is they meant to spell it that way.
